Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Chamba & Local Sightseeing

  • Laxmi Narayan Temple: Visit this iconic 10th-century temple known for its stunning architecture.

  • Chamunda Devi Temple: Enjoy panoramic views of the Chamba Valley from this serene spot.

Evening:

  • Stroll along Chowgan, the main open space in Chamba, perfect for a leisurely evening.

  • Shop for local handicrafts, Chamba rumal (embroidered handkerchiefs), or Himachali woolens.

Stay: Overnight in Chamba.

Day 2: Excursion to Khajjiar & Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary

Morning:

  • Khajjiar (22 km from Chamba): Visit the "Mini Switzerland of India." Enjoy the lush green meadows surrounded by deodar forests. Try activities like zorbing, horse riding, or just relax by the lake.

  • Visit Khajji Nag Temple, an ancient shrine with wooden carvings.

Afternoon:

  • Drive to Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary (a short distance from Khajjiar). Go for a nature walk amidst dense forests, with opportunities to spot rare birds and animals.

Evening:
